San Diego Thankgiving 2011 = Great success. I love my friends.

We ate, we drank, we watched Friends, we watched football, and we ate some more.

And I can’t to do this all again in a few days!

The turkey is in the oven….

T-minus ~8 hours until San Diego Thanksgiving.

You can be folky wherever the folk you want!

Matt is safely back in NY. We had a wonderful time together - hung around San Diego, drove up to Nor Cal, he met my parents (!) and some family friends, and we ate at our favorite spots, celebrated our one year anniversary.

I’m not 100% sure when we’ll see each other next…depending on Matt’s test schedule I’ll hopefully be able to go out to NY in October or November.

He’s just the best ever.

Hoosier Daddy

Yep, that’s my bracket name. I know you’re jealous. UConn’t handle the truth. Anyways.

I went 14-2 yesterday. I had Louisville going into the Sweet 16 so that was lame. My only other loss was Utah St.

Sure, sure, most of this was pure guess work. But, I’m still amped! As of right now, I’m slightly the best guesser in my bracket group - Amanda & this other kid are 10 points behind me.

Spent the day with my cousin today. Went to the Getty Museum (ah-freaking-mazing) then went down to Santa Monica for an early dinner.

Tonight kicks off Persian New Year festivities

So, in Iran, the new year is the first day of Spring.

On the last Tuesday night of the year (aka tonight), Persian’s celebrate Chaharshanbe Soori to mark the arrival of Spring. Pretty much what you do is get together with friends and family, make bonfires that last through the night, and JUMP OVER THE FLAMES as a purification process. There’s a song you sing while you jump over, but I forgot it. It’s something about the fire taking away your paleness and giving you warmth.

Persian New Year starts on Saturday and I’m sooo stoked. It’s 2 weeks of parties, family, friends, bomb food, and money.
